Wimbledon to Use AI-Powered Commentary

LONDON – According to a Wednesday press release, The All England Lawn Tennis Club will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance its coverage of this year’s Wimbledon tournament. The club has partnered with IBM to leverage the power of the Watsonx AI platform to revolutionize the production of tennis commentary for their online highlight packages.

IBM’s cutting-edge technology has undergone extensive training in the intricacies of the game’s jargon. In addition to generating compelling highlight videos, the Watsonx technology will enable Wimbledon to offer advanced analytics that will include insights into a player’s likelihood of advancing to the finals based on their draw.

Tennis fans can expect an innovative and immersive experience as AI technology revolutionizes online highlight coverage. This year’s Wimbledon tournament is scheduled for July 3 through July 16.
