Argentinian Airline Issues Tickets as NFTs

BUENOS AIRES, AR – Argentinian airline Flybondi has integrated web3 technology into its ticketing process after expanding its partnership with TravelX.

In a press release, Flybondi CEO Mauricio Sana said, “With this launch, we seek to generate a positive impact in the aviation industry through innovation and an application of blockchain technology.”

The airline’s new ticketing system, known as Ticket 3.0, allows passengers to transfer or sell their ‘NFTickets’ independently. The new integration is expected to reduce customer service fees and increase revenue through trading fees.

Tickets can be purchased through the Flybondi website. TravelX will then issue an NFT ticket on top of a regular e-ticket; TravelX does not charge a fee on the initial ticket purchase. By integrating smart contract technology, Flybondi has increased security and transparency in the ticketing process.
