ZUG, CH – Polkadot has partnered with Beatport, an electronic music production platform for DJs, according to a Monday press release from the blockchain network. 

Launching on Polkadot’s parachain, Aventus, Beatport will bring artists and record labels together into web3 and boost fan engagement. Fans can receive digital collectibles and own music tracks as digital assets.

Beatport senior vice president, Ed Hill, said, “Many in the music industry are keen to discover ways in which Web3 can better support them. This initiative with Beatport and Aventus is a perfect example of the potential for Web3 to elevate the craft of artists.”

Beatport Group has been the leader in electronic music culture for over 20 years. Through its Polkadot partnership, the platform brings over 16 million tracks and 91,000 record labels to web3.
