Binance Lobbies EU on Crypto Rules
BRUSSELS, BE – Binance has hired a communications director in Brussels to lobby on the exchange’s behalf as the European Union develops cryptocurrency rules. The job requires the candidate to be based in Brussels, the capital of the EU, to carry out duties.
According to Binance’s job posting for a Policy Comms Director, the responsibilities include “[partnering] with Government Affairs, track various policy and political issues and analyze their potential impact on Binance’s and the broad industry’s reputation to develop and implement communications strategies to shaped the public policy debate.”
The EU is in the development stages of codifying rules for its MiCA (Markets in Crypto Assets) which is set to be rolled out in April. MiCA’s main objective is to provide consumer protection and establish norms to stabilize exchanges and wallet providers.
Binance is currently registered in Italy, France, and Cyprus, and is currently seeking policy comms specialists for expansions into Latin America and Asia.
