Chainlink Embraces Green Tech With Coorest

Coorest, a web3 project focused on providing carbon emissions data, has recently joined Chainlink’s BUILD program to help expand its business. With Chainlink’s help, Coorest plans to give back 5% of their native token supply to Chainlink service providers and stakers. These tokens are then used to help compensate carbon emissions for web3 businesses, allowing them to work towards being carbon neutral.

According to Coorest, tokens are independently audited by the United Nations. These tokens include NFTrees, CO2 Tokens, and PoCC Certificates. Coorest helps supply these tokens with satellite data via Chainlink Data Feeds. With additional support and funding from Chainlink’s BUILD program, Coorest expects to see an increase in the quality of data exchanged and how it is applied to carbon compensation programs.
