Chainlink Goes Live on Base Layer 2 Testnet

Base, built by Coinbase, has announced that a faucet for Chainlink is now live on the Base Goerli testnet, allowing developers to begin creating new protocols for the new layer 2 network.

Chainlink’s addition represents a significant adoption by the web3 community to begin working with Coinbase’s new layer 2 network, suggesting considerable advancements will be available on their platform.

Base was initially launched in early March by Coinbase as a platform for engineers to create new Dapps that will help onboard the next wave of web3 users. While the project provides its own layer 2, Coinbase has been transparent that there are no network tokens in development.
