Circle Hires Chief Legal Officer for Global Growth

Circle announced that they’ve added Heath Tarbert as Chief Legal Officer & Head of Corporate Affairs. Tarbert comes from his previous position as chief legal officer at Citadel Securities to help the business’s global growth strategy and succeeds Flavia Naves. 

As an experienced attorney with time spent in all three branches of the US federal government, Tarbert comes at a time when crypto is under intense scrutiny after the SEC filed major lawsuits against Binance and Coinbase. Although Circle is not under the same microscope as either exchange, they’re USDC products could gain significant attention from the committee as more pressure is put on the web3 industry.
