Coinbase: Onboarding Users with Wallets as a Service

Coinbase Cloud announced their latest feature - wallets as a service (WaaS). The new product will grant businesses a way to integrate crypto wallets directly into their apps and websites. By creating a seamless wallet experience for new users, customers with little crypto experience will be less hindered and turned off by the technology.

The new WaaS feature opens the door for GameFi and Metaverse applications where crypto’s steep learning curve prevents a lot of engagement. While improving web3 education has the ability to increase adoption, a better user experience offers immediate improvements for users who are less committed to learning the full scope of how to use blockchain technology.
