FIL Holds 30% Rally On Filecoin EVM Launch

PALO ALTO, CA – Filecoin (FIL) maintained its rally Wednesday as bulls pounced on the network’s successful launch of the Filecoin Virtual Machine (EVM) upgrade. FIL rallied from a 7-day low of $4.72 on Saturday to $6.05 on Tuesday, valued at $6.25 at press time. The rally still holds the 30% rise since the Tuesday launch.

Filecoin’s EVM will enable smart contracts on the Filecoin protocol, opening up a new ecosystem for developers to build dApps. It will also add new trustless security measures to protect privacy through its reputation systems and add tokenized datasets.

Binance announced that trading FIL would not be affected during the upgrade and would “handle all technical requirements involved for all users holding FIL.” OKX Wallet has also supported the upgrade, saying it “will come as one of the [first] multi-chain wallets to integrate the Filecoin EVM upgrade.”
