TOKYO, JP – FTX Japan announced Monday that customers will be able to start withdrawing fiat and crypto assets from the exchange on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023. The announcement comes after the exchange said in December that it would open up withdrawal services in February. 

Japanese law regarding property made the country the safest place for FTX customers by preventing funds from being tied up in U.S. bankruptcy court proceedings. 

FTX Japan shut down on Nov. 8. FTX Japan will be the first arm of the bankrupt company to return recovered funds to customers.
