Hedera Liquidity Pool Hack Met with Quick Response

The Hedera team announced that they were targeted by a team of hackers overnight. The announcement provided details about the hack stating that various liquidity pools on the Hedera network were hacked through different Dexs. Protocol operators noticed the activity after large sums were being sent to the Hedera bridge to be transferred onto another network where the hackers were expecting to cash out and hide the liquidity.

Fortunately, Hedera’s swift response allowed them to shut down the bridge, preventing major assets from being removed. The team was then able to identify the root of the hack, providing some relief for investors on the Hedera network. While the hack poses issues for investors, the response from Hedera should be noted as quick and effective.
