MANA Rockets 73% Over Weekend

Dcentraland (MANA) recorded significant gains over the weekend, accumulating 73%. The cryptocurrency shot up from $0.45 on Jan 13 to $0.72 by Jan 15, settling at $0.70 at press time.

MANA began a 34% surge on January 13, almost completely regaining its pre-FTX crash price point on January 16. MANA had hit a local bottom of $0.22 in December 2022.

The upward price action is largely due to Dcentraland’s rise in its GitHub developer activity, ranking #6 on the open-source platform’s most active blockchains.

MANA’s price has also benefited from Dcentraland’s partnership with AOMetaverse which allows users to watch the 2023 Australian Open inside its metaverse. The tennis tournament is currently taking place between January 16 - 29, 2023.
