NEAR, Alibaba Partner to Boost Web3 in Asia, Middle East
HANGZHOU, CN – In a move aimed at accelerating the growth of Web3 technology in Asia and the Middle East, the NEAR Foundation, the non-profit organization overseeing the development of the NEAR protocol ecosystem, has joined forces with Alibaba Cloud, the computing and storage arm of Chinese tech giant Alibaba. The partnership, announced on Monday, will grant the NEAR Foundation access to Alibaba Cloud's extensive developer ecosystem across the regions to attract more developers to build on the NEAR protocol.
According to the NEAR Foundation, developers interested in launching new NEAR validators will now have the opportunity to do so using Alibaba Cloud's convenient "plug-and-play" infrastructure-as-a-service. This strategic collaboration aims to provide developers with the necessary tools and support to leverage the NEAR protocol effectively.
To enhance the capabilities of the NEAR ecosystem, the NEAR Foundation and Alibaba Cloud will offer remote procedure calls (RPC) as a service to developers and users. RPC functions as a computer server that enables users to access blockchain data and execute transactions across different networks. Additionally, the partnership will introduce multi-chain indexing, enabling developers to access a data-query application programming interface (API) for seamless integration.
In an effort to foster user interaction and collaboration, the NEAR Blockchain Operating System (BOS), a platform launched earlier this year, will be made available to users. By utilizing Alibaba Cloud's infrastructure, developers will have increased opportunities to build and engage with other users through the NEAR protocol.
