Opensea revamping categories for new NFTs

Opensea has just announced that they will be reorganizing the layout of their website and including more categories to search for NFTs listed on the exchange. Collections will also be able to include tags so that they become more searchable within each new category.

The announcement comes at an important time when the NFT market is experiencing a major shift in demand. With the majority of NFT technology still unexplored, Opensea has realized a need to evolve with the market to reflect the changing trends in NFT marketing and production.

As NFTs continue to change it will be beneficial for Opensea users to search through more articulate categories that represent the various utilities that we’ve seen grow around NFTs during the past year including memberships to exclusive alpha groups, gaming projects, sports memorabilia, and PFPs.

Opensea also stated that they will be announcing a completely new way of navigating their web3 marketplace in the next few months as the revamped categories and tags begin to go live.
