Eclipse, a customizable rollup provider, announced that they are launching a Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) in collaboration with Polygon. The collaboration will allow users to operate Dapps and other services on the Solana blockchain with the Polygon network. 

More specifically, Eclipse’s SVM will allow users to create smart contracts and use other tools that can help bridge the two networks together for further interoperability. Both networks offer faster and cheaper transactions than their counterpart Ethereum which has been criticized for being clunky and impractical due to its high cost and low speeds. 

Solana has been reeling since the 2022 market crash and is in dire need of support from other blockchains and Poylgon’s assistance could help bring the struggling network back to life.
