Pudgy Penguins Partners with Kellogg's
Pudgy Penguins has just announced their partnership with Kellogg's to brand the front of a select number of cereal boxes with the Pudgy Penguin artwork.
According to multiple tweets from the Pudgy Penguins, Kellogg’s, and The B3akfast Club, the boxes will contain numerous different collectibles inside including various forms of merchandise and a QR code to scan for other digital collectibles.
The exciting news comes at a time when web3 products and businesses have begun to falter following FTX’s crash and its ongoing fallout. However, the partnership is proving that NFTs still have value among large businesses that see potential in their ability to brand and market new products.
Earlier in the summer, Pudgy Penguins made headlines with their new team that replaced the original founder of Pudgy Penguins following disputes within the community about trying to sell the project and run away.
Following that disruption, a new board of directors were brought onto the project with announcements that they would begin using the Pudgy Penguins IP to create new plush toys. The news caused a spike in the Pudgy Penguins floor price with many new holders wishing to see their own tokens become part of the physical toy collection.
It is clear that, with this new partnership with Kellogg’s, many of the higher valued NFTs are surviving and finding their niche within the larger corporate world where their artwork has the potential to boost sales with branding.
