AUSTIN, TX – Texas state legislators proposed Texas invest in bitcoin on Wednesday. The government’s 84-page report submits bitcoin as an “authorized investment” for the state.

The report highlights cryptocurrency’s utilitarian use cases. While many states and governments worldwide have shied away from bitcoin and crypto being folded into any economic policy, Texas has long been an advocate of digital currencies.

If authorized, Texas will receive global attention from web3 investors and entrepreneurs for its support for blockchain technology.
