Aptos Launches New Partnership With Google Cloud
The Aptos network, which has been at the center of many exciting business deals lately, announced its latest partnership with Google Cloud’s web3 start-up program to help bring more developers to the Aptos ecosystem and the broader world of web3 and blockchain innovation.
Aptos partners with Google Cloud Web3 Startup Program
While still a new blockchain with a mainnet network that is less than a year old, Aptos has created a successful list of partnerships and business deals that are positioning the blockchain to become one of the most prominent networks available.
This latest endeavor between Aptos and Google Cloud will provide developers with additional resources necessary to begin creating more innovative and helpful Dapps on Aptos. According to the company, Web3 startups will have new access to “technology, community, and resources they need to explore serious innovation over reliable infrastructure.”
How Aptos is helping developers build web3
The partnership is notable, not just because of Google’s clout, but because web3 requires a different form of development, unlike web2. For decentralized networks, adoption and usage are core components that are required for blockchain development.
The leaders of a blockchain are not responsible for all of the development of their network. Instead, they are more focused on creating infrastructure that allows web3 developers to innovate, and why Dapps like Opensea, Magic Eden, and Sushiswap have grown into successful web3 businesses.
Web3: culture, tech, and innovation
In a promotional video attached to the announcement, founder Mohammad Shaikh explained why he sees web3 as so revolutionary, describing it as a means for culture, technology, and innovation to come together, but it appears that he may be less interested in NFTs as a form of that culture as he is in GameFi.
Shaik went on to explain in the same video that GameFi was one area of entertainment where he sees a lot of growth potential. Despite significant pushback from gamers regarding NFTs, Shaik suggests that a robust infrastructure network like Aptos provides more ways to innovate gaming experiences without disrupting gaming interests.
Aptos continues making big partnerships
Beyond just Gaming, Aptos has made major partnerships across many different industries. Their largest partnership yet has to do with Universal Pictures and their latest film Renfield; and while the film only garnered mixed reviews, Aptos’s approach to making the film more marketable through web3 has shown new ways that marketers can innovate with advertising.
The game itself is a far cry from what most hardcore gamers feared when NFTs and GameFi first became hot topics in 2021. The original belief was that NFTs would push for more microtransactions in games that gamers were already unhappy with, but instead, we’ve seen a game that delivers discounts and rewards to players for their participation.
If Aptos can continue to innovate web3 in ways that impact real customer bases, then there is a lot to look forward to with their new partnership with Google Cloud because the possibility to create bigger and better Dapps will come soon as developers become more comfortable on the Aptos blockchain.
