F1 Delta Time No Longer in Operation, What Happened?

The F1 Delta Time racing game that debuted in 2019 suddenly shut down last month, March 15th to be exact. One of the first licensed NFT crypto powered game, sudden closure has left its customers asking many questions, including most importantly what are their tokens worth now? With no current game available it's almost like these tokens are locked away in a box, stored away but sadly have no value at the moment.

The interesting thing about this situation is that the game was licensed by the F1 and we even had a 6 digit NFT sold for this very game. This had all the roadblocks to become something very successful and for the long run, all for it to be swiftly closed down.

This goes to show you all might going smoothly, but one hindrance can change everything. This being the owner of Animoca not being able to renew their license with the F1. Again, what is going to happen to all the money that was spent on various items for this game?

In due course I’m sure that the developers will find a solution to reimburse the customers in one way or the other. Some early suggestions have been: Event Segment owners will receive rewards for up to 6 months, talks about replacement cars, as well as an option to swap for Track Vouchers. Also some F1 Delta Time cars can be swapped for Race Passes, to name a few scenarios.

It’s still unclear what the solution to this dilemma is going to be, but the F1 Delta Time game didn’t really have a successful ride in the fast lane after a promising start off the blocks.
