Gossamer: Hollywood’s Latest Venture into Web3
Gossamer Seed is one of the latest NFTs taking the market by storm on Ethereum. The project was recently minted out in the middle of June 2022. The project is based on a 2006 novel by Lois Lowry called Gossamer.
Created by BRON Studios, the project is one of the latest attempts by Hollywood to break into the NFT space. The project is minting alongside an upcoming television show focusingon the same universe and has yet to be aired.
The team at BRON Studios is a successful group with an impressive resume of well-known IPs. They have been nominated and won numerous awards by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (known as the Oscars), the Screen Actors Guild, BAFTA, and the Golden Globes.
Digital animation using the Unreal Engine
The studio plans to use digital animation for the Gossamer project. They utilize the Unreal Engine which has been a popular engine for many top-tier video games.
Their decision to use digital animation means that the team will be able to fully encapture the scale of fantasy necessary to produce an effective series.
Celebrities involved with Gossamer
The project has also attracted some of the biggest names in Hollywood, showing that the team is well connected and knows how to acquire good talent.
Forest Whitaker
Set as one of the lead characters, Forest Whitter is an A-list celebrity with a massive career full of successful films. His career took new heights in 2006 when he won the Academy Award for Best Actor for the film The Last King of Scotland. His presence sets a high standard for the NFT project and what to expect.

While not at the same A-list status as Forest Whittaker, Thomasin McKenzie has also had her share of successful Hollywood movies including The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Old, and most notably Jojo Rabbit which was nominated for numerous Academy Awards; winning Best Adapted Screenplay.
3. Timbaland
The connections Timbaland has throughout the music industry in Hollywood cannot be overstated. He has had a long, successful career producing music for the past two decades with artists such as Justin Timberlake and One Republic. His addition to the Gossamer project adds another layer of quality to the project and opens the doors for more music collaborations in the future.
Good sales and a New Wrapper
Since the mint for Gossamer began, the sales for the token have been steady and climbing as more new information comes out. The project began as a free mint and currently sits at a floor price hovering around .18 Eth.
Adding to the excitement, speculation has mounted about the tokens after the wrapper cover art was changed to what looks like a seed or caterpillar pod. This new cocoon has caused some rumors to spread around about the different types of utilities that the NFTs may be presented in conjunction with the TV show.
Hopefully, if all goes well, this project can open the doors between television and the internet to create a new cross-platform method of storytelling.
