Platinum Primates: New Alpha Community

After the summer crash and the merge, alpha communities have slowly started to shrink as less bullish signals are appearing in the NFT markets. Compare this to earlier in the year when NFTs were still trading with major volume, and it’s easy to notice how much has changed.

Interest in NFTs has been steadily declining throughout 2022 because of a lack of true value being created by the excessive variety of tokens that over-promise and under-deliver on their goals, which is what makes the new Platinum Primates collection so interesting.

New alpha community

The Platinum Primates alpha community has been in development for a long time now; stemming from the successful Platinum Tools created by Platinum Labs which have been adopted by other major alpha communities including ChampsOnly who use the service to enhance their communities’ trading abilities.

Moreover, the stability of the Platinum Primates collection’s floor price after only a few days proves how concrete the underlying community is. In our current market, token collections see their floor prices drop only a few hours after launch. Yet, Platinum Primates has been floating above its mint price consistently now, providing relief to holders everywhere that the project will be able to remain alive.

Tools and interoperability

Like most other alpha community tokens, the collection itself offers a suite of features for holders to make better trades with. While these features are helpful, they are also quite common and not unique to the NFT ecosystem.

So, it’s hard to determine how much demand there will be for these tools because many traders have already purchased tools in the past and doubling up on multiple sets of tools doesn’t benefit a holder who can only use one node at a time or might prefer one NFT sniping tool over another.

Platinum Primates utilities include:

  1. Sniper

  2. Sell walls

  3. High-speed node

  4. Gas calculator & tracker

  5. Minting bot

Staking and marketplace

One interesting aspect of the Platinum Primates collection however, is how it plans to build its own marketplace and tokenomics. This is where the project begins to take on a new layer of utility compared to other tool sets across networks

With the added marketplace, Platinum Primates (and Labs) will be able to provide direct value to their native tokens as they expand their NFT marketplace. The market gives holders a direct route to purchasing something with their tokens which many projects fail to provide.

There will also be staking benefits to further incentivize these holders so that the marketplace can continue to grow without the risk of losing its primary audience.

Alpha callers

For all of this to work well, there will need to be a string of successful alpha calls first. With so many alpha community passes on the market already, it is hard to stand out as an appealing community.

There are many ways that communities can provide bad alpha such as reporting false information, paid promotions, and shilling your own projects. Fortunately, the Platinum Primates community has already established their alpha caller ranks with notable figures such as Resaang and other notable figures in the NFT space.
