ServiceNow, NVIDIA Partner to Build AI in Metaverse

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – ServiceNow and NVIDIA have joined forces in a groundbreaking partnership aimed at revolutionizing business operations through the integration of powerful generative AI capabilities with metaverse applications. By integrating AI in the Metaverse, the collaboration will enable faster and more intelligent workflow automation, transforming the way enterprises handle their processes.

ServiceNow-NVIDIA collaboration

ServiceNow’s generative AI research and development efforts are being powered by NVIDIA’s AI Foundations cloud services and the NVIDIA AI Enterprises software platform, which includes the highly regarded NVIDIA NeMo framework.

The NeMo framework offers various tools, such as prompt tuning, supervised fine-tuning, and knowledge retrieval capabilities, allowing developers to build, customize, and deploy language models for enterprise use cases.

Leveraging NVIDIA’s cutting-edge software, services, and accelerated infrastructure, ServiceNow exclusively develops customized large language models for its platform. Renowned as the go-to intelligence platform, ServiceNow is a one-stop shop for end-to-end digital transformation.

AI in the Metaverse

While the Metaverse is a colossal virtual space with seemingly endless use cases, ServiceNow and NVIDIA are focused on the virtual workplace within the Metaverse. While the virtual workplace came to the fore during COVID-19 in the form of virtual meetings, ServiceNow and NVIDIA are carrying that mantle much further by enhancing the entire experience for employees, customers, and executives, streamlining operations and opening bottlenecks.

The collaboration will expand ServiceNow’s comprehensive AI functionality, introducing new applications for generating AI throughout the enterprise. These groundbreaking developments will enhance workflow automation and significantly boost productivity for IT departments, customer service teams, employees, and developers.

ServiceNow will support NVIDIA in streamlining its IT operations in a reciprocal arrangement by employing generative AI tools. NVIDIA will utilize the extensive data provided by ServiceNow to customize other NVIDIA tools, which will operate on a hybrid infrastructure powered by AI supercomputers.

Use cases

ServiceNow and NVIDIA are currently exploring a variety of use cases for generative AI focused on streamlining and enhancing productivity across enterprises while maintaining accuracy and IT operations value.

  1. Virtual assistants

One of the key areas of focus is the development of intelligent virtual assistants and agents designed to swiftly address a wide range of user queries and support requests. These purpose-built AI chatbots, employing large language models, will be specifically tailored to handle defined IT tasks, simplifying the user experience.

2. Customer service

Generative AI applications are also being applied to customer service agents, enabling accurate case prioritization, reducing response times, and improving outcomes. Customer service teams will be able to leverage AI for automatic resolution, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating faster resolutions. All of these together ensure a seamless and satisfying user experience.

3. Employee experience

By identifying growth opportunities, AI can improve the employee experience. For instance, it can deliver personalized recommendations for learning and development, such as tailored courses and mentors, based on natural language queries and employee profiles.

The future workplace

While virtual assistants, chatbots, and tailored courses have been around for several years in one form or another, generative AI applications are taking these to the next level. For the  Metaverse to be successfully adopted by the masses, it must solve problems and provide value.

The ServiceNow-NVIDIA partnership will contribute to the development of advanced AI capabilities that enhance the functionality, user experience, and efficiency of the metaverse, making the Metaverse the perfect ecosystem for transforming the workplace of the future.
