Solana Sunday: Carpool’s Web3 Infrastructure Tools
Following last week’s hackathon results, it appears that more and more developer projects are starting to grow on the Solana network. With the NFT market stalling from the crypto crash, now has become a good time for developers to regroup and begin testing platforms which help build out the web3 infrastructure instead of focusing on cheap NFT gimmicks which dominated the market for the majority of the past year.
Companies such as Carpool are helping to develop the tools necessary to grow the network, giving developers the platform needed so that they can focus on creating influential new protocols and Dapps for web3.
Web3 Infrastructure
The primary motive of Carpool is to deliver a platform that allows developers to build out a stronger web3 infrastructure on the Solana network.
Solana Indexer
The Solana Indexer, built by Carpool, allows developers to access valuable information from the Solana blockchain while developing their Dapps. This is helpful because it allows developers to work directly on their products without having to spend excessive time researching metrics from the blockchain.
The Solana Indexer also goes a step further for developers using Anchor by generating an ElasticSearch API for them within a minute, according to their tweet.
Automated Alerting System
The automated alert system is another feature built by Carpool that allows developers to receive notifications from their protocols for bugs and other issues that arise in the development process.
This is a major benefit for developers because it allows them to receive quicker feedback on their products instead of waiting until the final product is created in order to begin working on solutions.
Instead, developers will be able to stay up to date on their work and know what needs to be changed before it is too late.
Carpool’s Philosophy
In their first blog, the team at Carpool goes on to talk about their excitement for web3 and where we are in the growth of web3 compared to the growth of web1. They believe that the future of blockchain technology is beyond anything that we can fully comprehend right now because the technology is so new.
They believe it is important to give these infrastructure tools to developers now because it will help build web3 into the platform that everyone involved in crypto hopes to see it become. There are a lot of possibilities for the future of web3 and Carpool’s product is aiming to be a catalyst.
Helping Solana developers
Building out the Solana infrastructure creates a lot of potential for the future of the Solana blockchain because it still has many advantages over Ethereum.
Although the merge has helped Ethereum become a much more efficient network, Solana still has competitive gas prices which are far easier to accept than Ethereuem’s gas fees; and, although the merge was a success, the transaction speeds on the Solana network are still much faster than Ethereum.
If Solana wants to continue being the rival to Ethereum, promoting these types of platforms, which help developers with established infrastructure already built out, is necessary because it is encouraging the growth of their network.
With the buzz around NFTs, the metaverse, and other web3 Dapps constantly spreading, it is important that developers are given the tools necessary to help these possibilities become a reality for Solana.
