The Soul Collection is the World’s First Experience NFT

While the Web3 world is filled with several breathtaking projects, the new Soul Collection NFT is proof that there are still many innovative ideas that are yet to take the industry by storm.

The project by the new production company Secret Level, is establishing a pioneering legacy to offer a never-seen-before approach to NFTs. Dubbed the world’s first Experience NFT (ex/NFT), Soul Collection allows users to mint a personalized digital version of themselves using a webcam’s mic and camera only.

“We've been eyeing the NFT space for a while, looking for various ways to disrupt it. Traditional NFTs (JPGS and short MP4s) felt so limited,” said Jason Zada, co-founder and creative director of Secret Level. “And since we've been creating some of the most talked about experiences for over 13 years now, we set out to make interactive experiences collectible, tradable and valuable.”

However, the big question is, why would anyone want to mint their soul as NFTs. This article answers the question while shedding sufficient light on the project, the AI technology backing it, and why it’s probably one of the next big things in Web3.

What is a Digital Soul NFT

A personalized digital soul NFT is a video-based non-fungible token minted on the SoulCollection.io platform using a person’s digital DNA—voice and facial appearance.

Soul Collection, on the other hand, is the brainchild of Emmy award-winning creators—Jason Zada and Jason Nickel—who are also the creative powerhouse behind several other digital experiences, including the freaky Facebook app, “Take This Lollipop.”

The Soul Collection launched in Q2 2022 as the world’s first entertainment experience NFT that leverages the innovative power of artificial intelligence (AI) powered by Charisma.ai to create a new mantra in the blockchain industry.

As customary with most leading NFT projects, Soul Collection features only 10,000 NFTs that can be minted and sold on secondary markets like Opensea. More so, Secret Level claims that they will build more experience-based projects which will be accessible to only digital soul NFT holders.

To be frank, I don’t know much about Secret Level apart from its affiliation with Soul Collection and its super dope VFX videos rendered on its homepage. But I know it will be powering the 10th-anniversary sequel of Take This Lollipop scheduled to launch this year.

That said, one reason anyone should mint their soul on SoulCollection.io is that it gives limited access to a community of next-generation experiential NFT lovers with many opportunities in the pipeline.

You can liken it to owning one of 10,000 tickets to a funfair of NFTs. Who knows what your NFT will be worth in the next few years if the project succeeds?

The AI Powering The Soul Collection

Charisma is a renowned AI company offering character-driven experiences in digital humans across different industries, such as gaming, the metaverse, virtual reality, film production, and many more.

Charisma is best referred to as a “conversation engine” that powers intelligent non-player characters. It boasts seamless integration into Unity, Unreal Engine, metaverse projects, and mobile-based games.

The Soul Collection uses its voice technology to create digital souls of users. Judging by the agelong success of Charisma and its clientele base, which includes Warner Bros, PlayStation, and the BBC, it’s easy to predict that The Soul Collection will be a revolutionary masterpiece.

Can We Trust the Team Behind The Soul Collection?

If you’re not a newbie in the fraud-prone world of Web3, you’d have realized that the success of any NFT or crypto project depends so much on the integrity and track record of the team backing it.

It’s easy to cast doubts on The Soul Collection’s future and viability since it’s pioneering a new sub-sector in the NFT race. But a close look at its team may convince you otherwise.

“I think we have just scratched the surface of ex/NFTs and we are excited to keep exploring the future of ownable interactive experiences,” said Zada. “Currently NFTs are really for art collectors, day traders and people who have the money to invest. We see the next generation of NFTs being consumer friendly, lower prices and having utility.”

Jason Zada and Jason Nickel have been creating viral digital experiences for over 13 years, and along with Felix Turner, clearly, these dudes know their onions and seem like they’ll be making a banger out of The Soul Collection.
