Google Pixel 8 Released with Generative AI
San Francisco, USA- Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet, launched the Pixel 8 smartphones and a fresh smartwatch on Wednesday. These devices incorporate advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology more extensively into the company's fundamental consumer products. Rick Osterloh, Senior Vice President of Devices and Services at Google, revealed that the newly introduced Pixel 8 Pro will be the initial hardware to utilize Google's generative AI models directly on the device.
The enhancements made to the Pixel phones have considerably enhanced their photography capabilities, making them more appealing to shoppers who are preparing for their holiday season purchases. Google has strengthened the Pixel lineup by introducing its latest mobile processor, the Tensor G3, which integrates various machine learning and generative AI models directly into the device. This has contributed to the phones' increased attractiveness to potential buyers.
The premium Pixel 8 Pro now includes a temperature sensor. Google has submitted an application to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to allow the Thermometer app to measure body temperature on this device.
The Pixel 8 is priced starting at $699, while the Pixel 8 Pro starts at $999, which is a $100 increase compared to the previous generation models. Both models will be available for purchase starting on October 12th.
