Deutsche Telekom to Deploy Validator on Polygon

Deutsche Telekom, the European telecommunications company that owns T-Mobile, announced that they are deploying a node on the Polygon blockchain to act as a validator for the network. Dirk Röder, Head of the Blockchain Solutions Center at Deutsche Telekom, said “The Polygon ecosystem is very developer-friendly and resource-efficient. It is based on the highest security standards of the Ethereum ecosystem.”

As validators, Deutsche Telekom will be responsible for approving transactions on the blockchain, earning portions of each transaction. Röder stated that the goal of their new validator is to “fully exploit the potential of blockchain technology and enable applications suitable for mass deployment” suggesting that the company might be looking into smartphone integrations with the Polygon network.
