Doodles Claims It Is No Longer an NFT Project

The popular NFT project Doodles has announced that they are no longer identifying themselves as an NFT project according to a recent statement made in their Discord. The declaration comes after the NFT market has continued to struggle following a rough 2022 that saw values plummet across the board.

The team at Doodles claims that, while they originally started with NFTs, their collection has grown into a larger brand. They also stated that they were no longer motivated by the financial interest of holders who were only interested in flipping the tokens for a profit.

The community was quick to react to the announcement on Twitter, showing disdain for the announcement which many called tone-deaf. Others were upset believing that Doodles was turning their backs on the holders that raised them to such a high level in the NFT space.
