Spotify Begins New NFT Playlists with Kingship

Kingship, a community of Bored Ape holders with an interest in music, announced that they are working with Spotify to create token-gated playlists which will require an NFT to access. The move comes with little surprise as Spotify has expressed interest in web3 for some time now, posting web3 related jobs on their career page in the past.

Still in its pilot phase, the token-gate is unlocked through mobile devices for users in the US, the UK, Germany, New Zealand, and Australia. Users will be able to connect their metamask to the Spotify mobile app which will then check for the appropriate NFT which will then grant them access to the playlist.
