5 Innovative Companies at Dcentral Miami

BCCN3 attended this year’s DcentralCon Miami conference and got exclusive interviews with some of the keynote speakers [1][2][3][4]. We also interviewed several founders, investors, and leaders of web3 companies that told us about their innovative products and services.

Exotics DAO:

A blockchain-based car rental company, Exotics DAO is disrupting the luxury car market with tokenized fractional ownership of its exclusive car club. Members can purchase daily passes in the form of NFTs that grants exclusive access to the DAO’s fleet of exotic cars, including Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and McLarens.

Other club benefits include access to exclusive live events and metaverse experiences, members-only merchandise, quarterly airdrops for exclusive gifts, and lounge access at their physical ‘Exotics Garages’ where the cars are housed.

Exotics DAO currently has physical garages at three different locations in southern California. More garages are set to open soon in Las Vegas, Miami, and Dubai. The club currently has 10,000 members worldwide.

Megafans

This eSports gaming platform provides users with play-to-win prizes and rewards. Megafans provides gamers with ways to earn NFTs, crypto, or even cash by competing in tournaments on one of their five games

The company’s founder, Jeff Donnelly, spoke on a panel at DcentralCon about the state of GameFi. Admittedly, GameFi does not have a good reputation currently because gamers see web3 gaming as a money grab. Donnelly stated that game developers need to “build better games [and] make it seamless.”

Megafans does not focus on pay-to-play or play-to-earn, rather, their philosophy is about tying earnings with wins. The platform puts its web3 community first by creating games users recognize from other ecosystems and want to play.

Modrater

One of the biggest tools in web3 is Discord, a community message board used for NFT collections, crypto, games, and more. Modrater, founded by llouisa.eth, provides data analytics for Discord communities by extracting server performance, ticket handling, chat interactions, messages, and much more.

Modrater provides a clean user interface with valuable, streamlined analytics to get more out of a community’s interaction. Discord can easily become chaotic and hard to manage if the team or project is unfamiliar with the platform.

Proof Of Memes

Using the power of internet memes in the digital culture, Proof Of Memes is a layer 1 protocol built on Ethereum. The platform allows blockchain developers to build memecoins directly on its base layer so projects can be launched, scaled, and developed by third parties.

The Proof Of Memes (POM) ecosystem provides the market a new opportunity to develop new memecoins because well-known meme projects like Dogecoin have a secured blockchain that cannot be built on by third parties.

According to the company’s whitepaper, memecoins are most commonly developed on Ethereum and the Binance Smartchain, but it can be hard for projects to scale on those platforms. POM provides meme projects with more flexibility to expand and grow their products.

Over the Reality

A long-standing metaverse project, Over the Reality (or simply ‘Over’), is a wide-ranging virtual-physical world hybrid. Over’s version of the metaverse is built on Polygon and uses open-source augmented reality (AR) to power its OVRLand land parcels, 3D experiences, and its NFT.

According to the project’s whitepaper, “Over can be defined as a new standard in augmented reality experiences by placing itself as the first content browser where the user does not choose the contents but the world submits the possible experiences based on its geographical position.”

Using smart glasses and VR headsets, users can interact with each other in a wide-ranging array of circumstances. Over’s ecosystem provides users with monetization capabilities for digital assets such as land, content, advertising, and much more.

Dcentral Miami succeeds

In sum, Dcentral Miami provided these companies and more with excellent exposure to the web3 community, gamers, investors, and marketers. The City of Miami has become well-known as a business-friendly metropolis for blockchain companies to register their LLCs and operate.

The exciting new ventures and projects at this year’s event are only small glimpses into the future of blockchain technology. In a year that has been tough for web3 generally, Dcentral Miami is an oasis of marvelous potential that web3 will provide.
