Gemini Exchange Down for Second Time in a Week

NEW YORK – Crypto exchange Gemini is down for the second time in seven days. At press time, the company’s status page reports that they are “investigating reports of potential service disruptions. All customer accounts and funds remain completely secure.”

Gemini tweeted they are currently in a maintenance mode; the team is currently working to identify and resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

On Dec. 16 Gemini was down for scheduled maintenance, but remained down three hours longer than planned. On Nov. 16 Gemini went down due to an outage with one of their Amazon Web Services (AWS) primary databases.

In the aftermath of the FTX bankruptcy many exchanges have had trouble transacting huge amounts of withdrawals. As of late, Binance, OKX and Gate.io have all reported various issues with massive withdrawals being executed.
